The Baldwin, the Bechtel, & Bereavement: Researching Death & Grief in a Historical Children's Literature Library

The Bechtel Fellowship funds a children's librarian to research a topic of their choice at the University of Florida's Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature. In this webinar, ALSC members will meet the curator of the Baldwin Library, Ramona Caponegro, and the 2022 Bechtel fellow, Joe Prince, and learn about the Baldwin's collection, the benefits of being a Bechtel fellow, and both the process and the findings on death and grief in literature from the 1800s, the topic Prince researched as the Bechtel fellow.
