United for Libraries Learning Live Series

United for Libraries Learning Live sessions take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. Each month’s session will cover a hot topic of interest to Trustees, Friends and/or Foundations, followed by a Q&A and/or discussions.

Course Includes
  • Eleven (11) webinars held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 2:00 pm Eastern.
  • On-demand access to all eleven (11) sessions in perpetuity.
  • Learning Live is not held in August due to the United for Libraries virtual conference.

How It Works
  • All registration and participation is per person; there is no group viewing or group registration option.
  • Base price is $149 per person. Membership‐related discount is based on the membership status of the person
    purchasing the seat(s):
    • ALA personal members receive a 10% discount
    • United for Libraries personal members receive a 35% discount.
  • Bulk purchase discounts apply for purchases of multiple seats (3‐6 seats extra 30% off; 7‐12 seats extra 35% off;

  • Purchaser receives one “sign‐up code” per seat purchased and distributes sign‐up code(s) to individuals, who then
    redeem the sign‐up code to complete their registration.
  • Includes eleven (11) Learning Live webinars starting with the month of purchase. No Learning Live in August due to
    United for Libraries Virtual Conference.
  • Includes live attendance for each of the eleven (11) sessions and on‐demand in perpetuity.

  • Do not register for this course for yourself.
  • As a personal member, you receive FREE registration to Learning Live and on-demand access to all past Learning Live sessions. Please see "Access Member Benefits."
    • You may purchase individual seats for your library staff, board members, Friends of the Library, and/or Library Foundation.
    • You will receive 35% off all individuals seats purchased.
    • As noted above, all registration and participation is per person; there is no group viewing option.

Residents of MA, MD, MI, NE, SC, or SD

  • Do not register for this course.
  • Your state library provides FREE registration to Learning Live and on-demand access to all past Learning Live session.
  • Please register for your statewide access here.

Residents of ND, OR, or VA

  • Your state library provides FREE registration to attend the live session each month *and* access the on-demand recording for 30 days.

Tech Requirements

Learning Live webinars are held in Zoom. Speakers or a headset for listening to the presentation are required. Closed captioning is available in the Zoom platform. Text-based chat is available, and attendees will use the Q&A panel to submit questions to the presenter. Speakers will answer questions as time allows. The webinar will be recorded and accessible within 72 hours of the live session.
