Inclusive Workplaces for Neurodivergent and Disabled Employees

Description
In this session, the instructor will cover:
- Disabilities and neurodivergence in the workplace.
- Hiring equitably and inclusively.
- Providing 1:1 support and strategies for inclusion in teams.
- Working towards building trust.
- Creating stigma-free workplaces on mental health and disabilities.
This session will include breakout discussions about accessibility plans and reflections about applying what participants have learned to their own libraries.
About the Instructor
Librarian, author, trainer, administrator, teacher, and consultant Renee Grassi is an advocate for equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in libraries, schools, and communities. As a neurodivergent librarian herself, Renee has worked in public libraries for nearly twenty years, developing award-winning library initiatives that welcome and support disabled residents and their families and caregivers.
