Understanding the Library Staff Experience

Patrons are not the only user who have a user experience—the staff’s interaction with services is also a crucial component of UX. If we don’t optimize the staff user experience, we can’t expect to optimize the patron experience.

In this webinar, we will look at the principles of Employee Experience (EX). We will look at how to assess and improve the EX and how it can be integrated into general UX activities. Services are co-creations between end users and service providers and this session will show you how to make meaningful investments in those providing the services.

Registration for this event is also included in the User Experience for Libraries (UX4L) series.

Through participation in this session, users will gain:

  • A concrete understanding of the principles of the employee experience (EX) in a user experience context
  • Strategies for assessing and improving EX and integrating it into the overall user experience
  • A reference list of tools and resources for EX implementation and a working knowledge of where to find additional sources
