Generative AI Tools for Creating and Editing Multimedia
In this session, we’ll take a tour of multimedia AI tools and the technology behind them. You’ll learn how images, audio, and video can be created from simple text input and see several demonstrations of the many tools available to engage with this technology. We’ll talk about the ethical issues surrounding this technology and the dangers of “deep fakes.” We’ll discuss how you can safely use these tools for educational purposes and library services.
After participating in this session, you will:
- Understand a few basics about the technology behind generative AI tools for multimedia
- Have a working knowledge of some of the most popular and effective tools currently available
- Understand the ethical issues around this technology, including copyright and deep fakes
- Gain several ideas for using these tools for educational and library purposes
Note:
Demonstrations will include the use of both free and paid versions of these tools. You can do everything we talk about with free tools, but it’s recommended that you experiment with some of the paid tools in order to expand your knowledge of the possibilities. Pricing information will be provided.
